Q. How old do you have to be in order to participate in surf camp?
A. 6 yrs old to 17 yrs old

Q. Do you have to know how to surf to sign up for the camp?
A. Absolutely not, the camps especially cater to first time surfers.

Q. What do you do for safety?
A. We take safety very seriously at our surf camps. Lifeguards monitor the beaches where we surf each day. The student to counselor ratio is 5 to 1. Our counselors are WATER SAFTEY CERTIFIED by The Galveston Beach Patrol and, highly qualified watermen and women. All beginner boards are made of soft material and many of the students begin surfing in water that is only 3-4 feet deep.

Q. Is there a program for me if I already have surfing experience?
A. Yes. Surfers who want to take it to the next level can be placed in our advanced camp. You must be able to paddle, sit and catch waves on your own to maximize the instructor’s expertise.

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Bathing suit, towel, snack, sun protection, dry change of clothes, flip flops, and a backpack. Water will be provided.

Q. Do I need to bring my own equipment?
A. We provide all the equipment. You don't need to bring a board or wetsuit. If you have a board or wetsuit already and would like to bring it along that's no problem.

Q What sort of payment do you accept?.
A. We accept check, money order, or credit cards. All credit card payments are processed in the shop before the first day of the camp.

Q. Where do we meet on the morning of the camp?
A. Across the Seawall from the shop, there is a stairwell at 28th and Seawall you will see the Ohana Surf Tent on the sand.
